I have been wanting arugala as the greens and this is the only package that I can get it in. Very happy with the variety.
So far, my only complaint is that the labels on the pod covers keep coming off. Otherwise, the plants are growing quickly and I like the flexibility of being able to plant what I want.
you know those expensive daylight winter blah lights, this is better and you get fresh food to boot. what more could you ask for! instant energy just walking into the kitchen and healthy lunches made for me by my wonderful husband. life is good.
Especially in the middle of summer and winter, the fresh taste is wonderful. I love it!
I really have enjoyed the variety of lettuce with the salad chef pack. My husband and I enjoy our aerogarden very much. I don't like the tast of arugula, but that is my personal preference--it grows very well and is abundant. The only problem I have had with any of the lettuce packs is that fungus grows on the stems. I have tried to clean them with peroxide, but it comes back. I have also removed the dead leaves and seeds, but it still comes back. I am careful to clean my aerogarden, but I didn't have fungus with other plant packs.

I've tried the herbs (loved them, however parsley and cilantro never grew), and tomatoes and peppers (never fruited), but the lettuce tastes a bit off to me. It seems too soft and "fluffy" and not at all crunchy. But it grows fast, and looks lovely.
We have three Aero Gardens on a three-shelf wall unit. The Salad Chef Pack allows us to keep a variety of salad greens going all the time by starting a new set as another set is done producing. Currently we have two gardens with salad greens (started a few weeks apart) and the third is planted with herbs. Great versatility!

I own three of these, lettuce in one, herbs in the 2nd and tomatoes and peppers in the 3rd. Everytime that I would attempt to grow herbs on my patio they always died, with this nothing has ever died and I have a constant supply of salad ingredients - love it, love it, love it.

I love it! I have already done the herbs...and I love being able to pick my salad greens without pesticides and simply putting them into a container for a salad and going to work. I can't wait to do the peppers. My dream is to perhaps by the smaller aerogrow and grow my own salsa...tomatoes/hot peppers/cilantro! Life can't get much better!

Easy to set up - nice variety of greens. My second try and the plants get to the second set of leaves and stop growing. So far no useful results.
I started growing my Salad Chef Pack about two weeks ago so I haven't had the opportunity to have a salad quite yet. The greens however are just beautiful. The leaves are a variety of shapes and sizes which makes it very enjoyable to look at.
This is only my second time using my Aero Garden. My first experience was the Salad Greens kit. That was fantastic and my harvest lasted for 3 months!
The Salad Chef Pack was just what I wanted to try next in my Aero Garden and it offers an even greater variety of lettuces, plus you get enough pods for two harvests!
I love my Aero Garden!
The greens started sprouting within one day!!!
We eat salad everynight with dinner, and being able to pick your own amount is great!
Wonderful, quick growing plants. Better lettuce than any supermarket stuff. I had problems with the package of nutrients. They were wet and crumbled inside. This happened to another package, as well. Used them as best I could.

wanted to try the lettuce pack first since we have a bountiful herb garden outdoors. The aerogarden was very easy to assemble, plant and grow. Easy to follow instruction booklet. It's really cool to watch the lettuce grow and fun to harvest however both pods of the arugula (my favorite) sprouted and then died very quickly. Also, lettuce is very soft, wilted feeling and needs to be cut, washed and refridgerated to make it crisp enough for a salad. I'm looking forward to trying the herb pack and will definitely try the cherry tomato pack, probably won't do the lettuce pack again.
Great variety and longevity! We grow this variety along with the Romaine, and it allows us a nice change in flavors. A good suggestion is to allow a little time span of a month between planting each, so that one has time to grow to maturity before the other dies out. We even extended the lifespan of the lettuce and feed the seeded out plants to our pet lizards. So we're getting even more use out of the product and have no waste at all. We adore the lettuce versions!
